Dilemma seorang wanita...Eh?!

Macam pernah dengar jak title diatas ya..? Hahaha!
Sorry Zati! Pinjam kejap...hehehe.

Nenek ku tepon awal pagi nangis-nangis mintak aku pulang sebab nya xda orang neman. Adoiiii... susah ati ku...Bibik mek orang gik balit ke Indonesia, so adikku Pikah kenak jaga adikku yang paling kecik ya. Hrmmm...

Yalah tek, slalu nya pegi rumah mek orang tiap2 pagi sebab opis usu ku dekat ngan area mek orang jak. Orang tua lain semua bekerja. Cun tek Pikah bekerja freelance jak so nya dapat jaga adikku yg bongsu (Special CP kid with kidney prob).

Nenek ku bukannya kongang juak nak berangkut tiap2 pagi pegi rumah mek orang yang agak jauh ya. Lagikpun nya slalu ngerepak madah jamban jauh lah, kepak nya nak bermasak lah (maka mek orang sik suroh pun nya masak sbb masing-masing pandey masak ke dikpun), sakit belakang embak nait kereta lah...hehe~ biasalah nak owh...orang tua... Jadi, nya tek mok diam rah rumah nya jak. Masalahnya, since semua bekerja, sapa mok jaga nya di sia?

Aku paham...nenek ku nang dah puas terseksa hidup susah since nya gik kecik; dahlah miskin, kenak dera bapak tiri, ngait kelapa, berjual kelapa, berkebun, menjahit, basuh baju orang, berniaga, ngubah bunga, etc demi nak nyuroh bapakku belaja tinggi-tinggi, sebab nya sikmok bapakku jadi susah macam nya. In the other hand, perange nyatok lah diambik aku...suka design baju & berniaga. Haha! Adoh...nang sah aku tok drama queen kedak nya juak.

Jadi, orang tua yang puas idup susah, gerenti sikkan dudok diam even though nya dah tua...gerenti nak berpolah kerja giney2 pun dah dilarang doktor. Sebab sidak akan madah, "Dah terbiasa. Bingong rasa ati mun sik polah keja." Susah owh? Sian aihhh... :( Nak sik bekerja, nya sakit. Dah bekerja, nya sakit juak... Hmmmm....

Slow jak bunyi ku padah ngannya, "Mak...kamek mok pulang...tapi kmk duak tengah sekda duit tok..." Terus nya madah, "Kelak mak bayar..." sambil bunyi nangis teresak-esak cam bunyi drama lam tv2. Terkesima aku dengar...Ne lah aku kempang ati nak makey duit nya...
Bingong aku tok...Ya juak ngan problem mek duak tengah short duit (sila rujuk entry ini)...ya juak orang mintak pulang...Ya baruk DILEMMA! Camne tok owh...*sigh*

Pokai!

Oh epic...someone around the apartment playing Vitamin C's Graduation day song. :o

Anyway, Zati & Achie are doing their best in their pre-wedding videoshoot right now.

i wish i can go back to Kuching earlier & do this kind of stuff... :P

Talking about this...hmm...right now hubbie & i are facing economy crisis. ^^;;;
i was trying to take a nap because of my period pain, then hubbie approached me and said gently, "Sayang...i think kita kena jimat cermat la...ikat perut...duit kamek tinggal RM80 jak."
Alalala~~ sian ngan nya... :(
Well, something happened, and we don't think helping less fortunate people would be a crime. :P
Daijoubu...daijoubu...Takpe...Orang susah, kita tolong semampu yang boleh. If ada rezeki, Allah akan bantu kita balik...InsyaAllah... :)

Thought of booking my flight on 18th March, attending Kyan!me audition on the 20th, and have a few days to hunt for my cosplay things & help Zati for her wedding.
But now i guess i have to pass. At least if we go back to Kuching together on the 25th, the transportation cost will be less as driving only need RM100 (return), rather than i go back earlier (RM80 cost) + him on the 25th (RM50) + going back to Sibu together (RM50).

Somehow i think that eating outside is much more economical for two! Less water from washing the dishes, save the gas, cooking oil, etc. No no no~ i'm not making an excuse for not doing some cooking (hey, i love cooking, damnit!), but food for two is just...expensive. :/
However, if you have more people at home, you can just spend around RM25 for the whole week food by cooking! Ya know...marketing stuff...you buy more/ larger quantity, the cheaper it gets.

So most of you probably like, "Duhhh...then why you don't buy more/big piece?". Well, that's because, we don't have a big freezer. =_= And this apartment/flat always having blackout problem, so the things will go bad especially when we're away to Kuching. Therefore we really need to buy things in smaller quantity.

So...tonight i think we'll be eating instant noodles 'Mi Sedap' that Bang Man and Kak Betty brought from Indonesia (the taste is different from Mi Sedap made in Malaysia!). Breakfast tomorrow...umm...maybe bread with peanut butter. Darn, i wish i have a bread toaster. :/ Why nobody give us one as wedding gift? XD For lunch, maybe Nasi Goreng... *thinks hard*
Ah crap...my bawang stocks also nak habis!! DX

Okayyy...barter system anyone?? Fresh mangoes with chicken? D:

Budget Wedding?

Assalammualaikum readers! ^_^

Right now i am veeeerrrryyyy excited!! One of my bridesmaids is going to tie a knot with her beloved boyfriend! Congratulations!!!

But it is kind of a sudden for her as this wedding is initially suggested by both families asking them to get married before both continuing their studies far away from home. So, she is very concern about her budget and also the preparations!

What i can suggest from her, don't get carried away with buying or renting anything without doing a survey. Borrow from friends and families if they have something that you can use. :) And, do lots of DIY stuff if you have time to make it more exciting! :D

This wedding probably only initiated to have a simple Akad Nikah Ceremony /Solemnization with a small kenduri doa selamat at home. Whether to have a Persandingan (Reception) on the next day of Akad Nikah or maybe in a few months ahead, will be confirmed after the Merisik ceremony.

In my opinion, it is best to do Akad Nikah first. When you do have enough savings to do the reception, go get it! :D

So now, i'm going to help her finding the best Budget Hantaran idea for the sweet couple!
People always talk about Hantaran war...5 vs 7, 7 vs 9, and more... so, how to make the hantaran look grand but with cheaper cost? :D

Trick number 1: Separate the items
Trick number 2: Borrow new things from family or from your own closet! (just for the sake of showing off on the dulang. :P)

For my dear friend, i suggest that you can use 5 (to girl) vs 7 (to guy) hantarans. :)

Hantaran for Him (with budget)
  1. Wedding ring & Potpouri deco (Budget: This one, up to you)
  2. Work shirt. (Budget: RM50 and below)
  3. Necktie, Socks, Belt, Cuff-links, Pen - choose 2 or more within budget. (Budget: RM50)
  4. Prayer mat & Al-Quran & any knowledge doa books. (Budget: RM50)
  5. Shoes (Budget: RM50 or more? Up to you too!)
  6. Cake or Special food that you or your family cooked. (Budget: less than RM50)
  7. Fruits (RM20)
(Other things you might be interested : Kain pelikat, towel, perfume, men skincare, slack pants, kain songket, baju melayu, etc~)
Total cost: Around RM270 and above.

Hantaran for Her (with budget)
  1. Wedding ring & Sirih Junjung (Budget: Up to him)
  2. Baju kurung or unsewn material/cloth (Budget: Below RM80 or above)
  3. Telekung & Al-Quran (Budget: RM50 or more)
  4. Shoes (Budget: RM50)
  5. Chocolates (RM30)
Total cost: Around RM210 and above.

And i am sure someone in your family or friends will help you in donating something as hantaran gifts like in my Engagement! :D

*joke* You can also put on your new laptop. lol.

How about the Hantaran decoration? Ya know what...? Since all of us are creative, we can work something out. ;) Don't forget that i did everything DIY on my hantaran as well! :P

----------
Now, about your outfit...Custom-made vs Ready-made vs Rent.

  • Custom made, you have to buy the materials & send to tailor. Made to fit with your body and your own fave materials. :D Budget wise it will cost around RM400 & more. And time-consuming. i had this one, and they're all over budgeted. ;_;

  • Ready made, need some times to survey. Hard to find your type of materials & your exact fitting, but you can always alter it. Budget wise are varies...usually RM150 and above for simple design + an OK quality. And RM300 and above for branded.

  • Renting...this one...not bad as well for those who are lazy to go find stuff or does not want to keep extra clothes inside their wardrobe...but! The renting fee is mostly almost the same when you buy a ready-made ones. Besides, you can't wear the same Baju Kurung & Baju Melayu Nikah for your first Hari Raya as husband and wife. :P

What say you? Which one is better? :)

For make-up & accessories, i'd suggest you to hire Make-up artist. Hehe~~

------------

My Henna by Ah Siaw (Lim Kok Wing student)

Inai! Just go for a simple inai lah~ :P Or i can help you draw. If you dare.. XD
I suggest you to buy 'Jit's Henna' from the old steamship building at Kuching Waterfront. Beautiful colour! i used that and oh boy~! i still have my henna visible on my nails even it's already 4 months old! Price RM5 each. For simple henna (hujung jari), 1 packet is enough for both couple. :)

------------

We'll talk more in the next post, mates~!
Don't forget to give ideas by commenting and help my friend out! XD

Edited:

Idea from Ann Amalina : "One of my friend used the Cadbury Dairy Milk miniatures for her hantaran. She bought 2 packs for around RM14, then asked one of her aunts to built a 'mosque' from them!"

- See? More cheaper option! XD Thank you so much, Ann!

More guides...

Dear Miss Nurul,

Please kindly refer to my previous post as well from here about Merisik & here about Solemnization/Nikah.
All the best my dear friend. InsyaAllah, everything will be fine! :D

More 'Wedding Rings' options, you can try surveying at old goldsmith shops and ask for 'Suasa'.
Grandma suggested the one next to old Post Office, and you might as well want to go to the shops inside the Carpenter Street. :) And don't forget to haggle! XD

Tips: Pegi awal pagi and tunggu until sidak bukak kedei...Time ya if you're the first customer, boleh mintak discount kaw-kaw!!

My Nikah budget

Khas for someone. ;D

Nampaknya i forgot to post about my Nikah budget last year! Yalah tek...too busy, and yet after nikah, rasa cam bergerek lam sorgaaa...hahahaha!!

  • Baju Kurung - rahsia sbb harga melampaui budget. ;_;
  • Baju Melayu - sik ingat! but siap time hantaran waktu tunang.
  • Keringkam - Mak sponsor. :D
  • Earrings - pinjam from Mak.
  • Songket - Mak sponsor juak.
  • Cincin - Bought both from Habib Jewels, The Spring. For him, a suasa ring, mine diamond white gold ring. Beli time Sale ok? :P
  • Kasut white with studs- RM70 from Sg Wang, KL.
  • Kasut Valentino Rudy for men - RM100+ from Parkson, The Spring.
  • Inai - RM85 (both hands) from Ah Siaw.
  • Hand bouquet - RM80 (Totally worth it! Recommended buy at Orchid Garden's florist, next to Pusat Kanser Kanak-kanak, across Saberkas, Perodua, & church. Other landmarks: Sarawak Government Hospital, tanah perkuburan cina.)
  • Pelamin - RM1000 (no comment. not my type)
  • Sheep fur - Pinjam from husband's aunt. To cover kerusi pelamin yang nauzubillah jaik...
  • Pulut untuk adat memotong - Buat sendiri! Add up with pink food colouring (RM6).
  • Mini cupcakes - RM30+ for 60pcs. Bought from Mita Cake House, Satok.
  • Bekas meletak Pulut & cupcakes - RM60+ from Home & Living, The Spring.
  • Make up - RM120 from Idaman Rahim.
  • Bunga telur - RM120
  • Wedding favours - Sik ingat...tapi mek orang berik sweets in the pouch jak. Pouch dalam 20cents sigek.
  • Kenduri makan & drinks - masak sendiri...RM5k for 290 seperah..... family dari kampung banyak datang bah. ^^;;
  • Khemah - sik ingat.
  • Karaoke - sendiri punya!
  • Photographers - kawan-kawan sendiri. :D
  • Videographers - kawan bapak.
  • Saguhati for Tok Kadi - dalam RM100? ._.
  • Saguhati for Saksi - each RM50? (actually saguhati depends ngan kemampuan...faham bah orang...)
  • Misc (zikir, corsages, decorations, etc) - RM2k.

Anything else, ntahlah...dah sik ingat...mok bukak diary lamak... hehe.
i always wanted a 'Budget Wedding' but sik dapat nak ekot semua because you have to decide together with your family. Buangkan apa yang sik perlu, timbang-timbangkan apa yang perlu.
The best thing is, you have to haggle alot to get cheaper price for stuff. :) Banyakkan survey before you buy.

Panduan Proses untuk anda Kawen!

Ditujukan buat someone. ;)

Mengikut adat istiadat orang Melayu Sarawak (well, at least apa yang aku tauk lah) , ada 3 - 5 proses dalam perkahwinan. :D Aku dah melalui kelima-lima proses ni, so nak share-share kat sapa-sapa yang nak melangsungkan or saja nak gain more knowledge. ^^

Jom kita tengok...

  1. Merisik
  2. Bertekol
  3. Bertunang
  4. Nikah
  5. Sanding

First, Merisik. Even though most people nowadays skipped this tradition as the both of the lovers' family already known each other, but it would be nice or 'manis' if the parents meet each other and talk. Mengeratkan silaturrahim bah... Furthermore, they can discuss bila tarikh untuk bertekol (jika ada) or/and bertunang.

Second, Bertekol. Proses yang lebih kurang sama dengan bertunang, not requiring any wang hantaran or barang hantaran/gifts, tetapi pihak keluarga lelaki datang ke rumah hanya menghantar sebentuk cincin (selalunya emas belah rotan) dan duit 'buka mulut' berjumlah RM50 (or seikhlas hati). Selalunya ada jamuan dan baca doa kecil-kecilan. This proses, in my opinion...macam...meletakkan reservation or pre-deposit (sik bermaksud nak polah bunyinya macam barang, but in kata yang paling simple, kira camyalah). Sort of like... "Aku CHOP dolokkk!!! Tunggu aku ngumpol duit baruk mek org bertunang/kawen!!". Dalam masa ni jugak, ada yang terus menetapkan tarikh untuk mengikat pertunangan dan jumlah wang hantaran.

Third, Bertunang. Proses yang dilakukan besar-besaran di Sarawak. Haha! Somehow macam kenduri kawen pun ada. Mungkin kat Sarawak, usually yang buat meriah-meriah sebab tempoh pertunangan yang agak lama sebelum bernikah. Well, it depends on how the family want it to be; yang grand, or simple. :) Terpulang kepada budget anda. Tepuk dada, check pocket, tanya selera (anda dan keluarga anda). In this process, pihak lelaki akan menghantar sebentuk cincin berlian, wang 'buka mulut' (usually dalam RM80), wang hantaran (full amount or half, where the other balance will be paid during Majlis Nikah kelak), and barang hantaran. Barang hantaran termasuklah pakaian, perhiasan, makanan, etc.

- Jangan lupa cari Tok Kadi & reserve!-

Fourth, Nikah. Saat yang dinanti-nantikan!! XD Nabes oi time tok! Tapi in my kes, sik nabes, tp sakit hati...hahaha...because of Mak Andam yang melarikan diri di saat akhir. Proses tok memerlukan Mas Kahwin mengikut Jabatan Agama Islam Sarawak berjumlah RM120 atau mengikut jumlah yang diminta oleh pengantin perempuan, 2 bentuk cincin (kalau lelaki takde cincin pun takpe), balance of the wang hantaran jika ada, barang hantaran jika ada, dan...yang paling penting!! Segala dokumen-dokumen seperti Kad pengenalan diri, sijil kursus Pra-perkahwinan, etc. Majlis makan-makan & doa selamat diusulkan sejurus selepas selesainya proses pernikahan.

Fifth, Persandingan. Persandingan boleh dibuat bila-bila masa sahaja selepas majlis pernikahan berlaku. Be it right after the Nikah ceremony, or the next day, or even a month or few months ahead.

--------------------------------

Dalam kelima-lima proses diatas, si bakal pengantin lelaki selalunya sik pergi skali dalam proses 1 - 3. Orang padah, sik manis dipandang...tang macam terhegeh-hegeh... another reason bak kata my mom...kelak dah basik! :P So, simpan everything time Nikah jak la...

Next post? My budget nikah as requested by the same person. :P

4 days before the big day (Persandingan)!

Astargfirullahalazim....
i can't sleep well! The things about the planning, what-to-dos, and nightmares jumbled up in my head! Argh! DX
Last week aku dah polah facial, but it seems like all of them appear again. Ne aku nak ngoleh duit pakey polah facial lagik tok...

Hmm...what to do today...

  1. Jumpa Idaman Rahim
  2. Pegi CINDY Matang Jaya - carik millinery netting, head band
  3. Pegi Kenyalang - beli reben, stretchable lace, carik millinery netting, beli apa2 for face veil
  4. Pegi India Street - cari selendang, headscarf lace, brooch, reben
  5. Jumpa Nasa to finalise the pelamin design

Hmm...can't think of anything else... :/
i need someone to teman me because i feel nauseous. Stress...=_=

Budget? Hopefully can get everything under RM100.

Right now i'm making the face veil by using diamente and super glue. No idea how strong and how long the glue to hold the metal together. Ganbarimasu~! Aja!

Mission : Receptions preparation Pt. 3!

*headdesks*
Tenses piling up. LOL.

Yesterday we did a small post-wedding photoshoot based on the 1950's Vintage theme.
i don't know how it will turn out though...just wait for the photographer. :)
But i do hope that i can get some of the pics to be included in my wedding picture slideshow.

And hopefully can do more photoshoot with other themes and styles in my head. XD
But it's just that Yabuki doesn't have time to go back and forth to Kuching...and...the time is running out! Our receptions will be on next weekend!

So now...onto the things that need to be done.

1. Birdcage veil
  • Supposed to buy on ebay but my debit card died.
  • Then changed mind and wanted to rent from the Manja. But then, he ran off/FFK a day before my actual day.
  • Panic.
  • Contacted the seller on ebay, but she insisted saying that USPS does not guarantee a fast delivery to Malaysia even though if i pay $42 for it. Agree...USPS sucks anyway. Most of my things didn't show up last time.
  • Have to hunt for any *good* netting available in Kuching. GARRRR!!!
  • Remembered that in CINDY, they sell this vintage hat with millinery netting. Went there this noon, but it's fucking RM70! And very dusty with glue residue everywhere! Last time it was only RM30!!! The staff helped to ask the boss, and the boss only can sell it for RM60 the lowest. Crap... i just wanted the netting!
Dilemma: Should i buy it or not?

2. Arabian headdress and face veil

  • Wanted the headdress to look like Gypsies veil; saw a few time Siti Nurhaliza wearing it. LOL. But how to make one? i tried to put selendang and cover half of my head and it slipped off...T_T
  • For the face veil, i bought Diamante strands and hopefully it will be something nice. ;_; Most of the people use chiffon to cover their face so i want something more different. Boleh kah? :P
Dilemma: Need help in advice!

3. Arabian headgear for men

  • This part really make me pening! Most of the people will think that Arabian headgear is usually macam Pak Arab Saudi. But since Yabuki descended from Hadratul-maut, the headgear is sort of look like serban yang sheikh-sheikh slalu guna. Argh! Entahlah! Totally no clue! Dulu ingatkan just want to use Tarbus je...tapi nampak macam 3 abdul! Hahaha! Betol lah ya...Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rahim...eh tambah bapak mertua ku! Jadi 4 Abdul! Abdul Haddy! XD
Dilemma: Need help in advice!

4. Bridal Bouquet

  • Haha! Ada lagik masalah tok. Due to super busy days, sik sempat to order earlier. Adoi... another thing, i don't know whether they can get me any Calla lilies in deep red or burgundy colour! Hmmm...
  • Besides from Orchid garden shop, where else can i get cheap price for fresh flowers?
  • Should i just ask the shop to make the bouquet for me or i just buy the flowers and arrange the bouquet myself? It's easy (i think) but do i have time to do so? D: But if let say just leave it to the shop, seriously i'm in a tight budget.

5. Outfit for her

  • Both of my outfits dah siap...i really like my abaya kaftan! But...my outer dress...is...umm...don't know...it's a bit different from what i asked...i asked for black pearls and i did show to the designer that the black pearls supposed to be greyish colour. Not the really black colour. Lagi cantik if ada burgundy colour kat atas baju tu. The price is also beyond my asked price. Aku sik tauk nak ngorek duit siney...SERIOUS! Rasa nyesal pun ada...
  • The belt...pun terlampau kecik. Aku terpaksa polah baru, or buy additional cloth for the bow. And belt burgundy pun lom carik...should i just use ribbon or buy cloth and tailor it? Ribbon nang senang, but nampak cam madot jak. Or...sik boh makey burgundy ribbon...just carik brooch yang ada batu kaler burgundy. MUN ADA lah. Siney mok carik??
  • My outer dress is...menggelebeh...The cutting tiba-tiba jadi besar! Ka aku dah kurus? Haha! My inner dress pun bahagian boobs ya besar after the designer bukak the seams inside to make it one inch bigger. Bahagian perut ok lah, cuz at least i can sit comfortably. It's just the chest part...very loose. Should i alter it back?
6. Outfit for him

  • Wo...susahnya nak carik baju nya tok...
  • Tailor made a black tux shirt at Krabi...however...they did not know how to make one. It turns out miserably weird...and too simple. The collar is uhhh...so not cute.
  • No... i can't fork out money to tailor made another one. And no time.
  • The bridal shop only have M sized shirt and it is quite large on Yabuki. And no black colour.
  • The necktie! The bridal shop doesn't have any descent burgundy colour...The one that we rent was so...crooked. =_=
  • His Arabian outer bisht is currently in process...i think. But i made a mistake by choosing Satin for the material. OH NO! Semua duit punya pasal. Sebab mok murah tek nak? But when i think back...Satin material easily wrinkled and look costumey! AARRGGHHH!!
  • Arabian...pakey kasut apa? LOL.
7. Bunga telur
  • Tengah ikat reben with Zati... huhuhu~
  • Rebus telur on 26th & attach them to the bunga telur sekali.
  • Bring them to the hotel and arrange on the pahar.
  • In-charge by Zati.
8. Wedding favours

  • Bought benang kait as a cheaper alternative to ribbon. Ribbons in Kuching are expensive. =_= Imagine, a 45 cents ribbon in KL to be compared with the same ribbon in Kuching but with RM4.90 price. Gila...
  • Mom said "sik kacak...nampak murah." i replied, "iboh pandey komplen jak. dah nya sekda duit, polah cara sekda duit.". *bridezilla mode ON* D:
  • Aku rasa ok jak rupa nya diberik benang kait ya...orang puteh pun makey kedak tok juak bah.

Rasanya tok jak benda yg aku dpt pikir buat masa tok. Will update on this on the next post. :)
Wish me luck!

Mission : Receptions preparation!

Just got back from Sibu. :)
Yeah, been to Sibu *first time* following Mr. Husband on last 31st October. And there i get to see our new home somewhere near at the city centre. Sorry, i forgot to take the pictures. LOL.
It is very old with oriental touch and look great with black and red accents!
Too bad, Yabuki is not really into decorating the house as he is not sure whether we will be 'stuck' in Sibu forever or not. Besides, the renting is quite high for us currently as we really need more income to support our life after our marriage.

Ah, anyway... i'm back in Kuching just for the preparation for the incoming receptions.
But my birthday is coming soon, and it falls on Monday which either i have to go back to Sibu to celebrate with my husband, or just stay in Kuching and wait for him to come back on the weekend.
Hmmmmmm..........

Back to the topic...
Tonight will be our (me, Shafiq, Zati and Anastasia) first day to meet up for our dance practice. Yeah...wish us luck as i never involved with dancing things before and remind you...i'm very 'kayu'. But for the sake of once in a lifetime to have fun in own wedding, i got to make it right. XD
So, Anastasia will be in charged with the choreograph, and i already done editing the song.
i really hope we can survive with the 1 minute and 50 seconds dance, without having the guests to look weirdly-stunned. *gulps*

Kak Ma called me up to say that she have sent my inner dress today in case i'm having a post-wedding photoshoot this weekend. And i asked her to alter the size one inch bigger because i merely can't sit comfortably with the tight dress. ;_; Yeah...i'm getting chubbier...with extra donuts....urgh...you want some! i give you freeeeee~!!!!

So yeah, hope to see you tonight Zati~!!

i ish not happy! D:

Things that have made me stressed out lately:

1. getting fat. i like gaining weight, but hate those flabs under the chin and tummy!
2. no money. (THE MOST EVIL THING!)
3. wedding invitation for solemnization still not yet done.
4. there is no news about my wedding attires (3 of them).
5. airplane tickets has been sold out and super expensive so i don't know how to go to Shah Alam to do my wedding dresses fitting. i should be there 2 weeks before 10/10.
6. grandma insisted to have make-up changes according to different attires for Berlulut session. more make-up means more $$ to burn!
7. shortage of wedding favours.
8. couldn't find videographers since i don't have money!
9. my room's deck renovation + electrical stuff have not start yet.

There are other stuff as well, but it felt like...to emo-wrecking to type. =_=
90% of the problems came from lack of money. Right now, i don't even have some to fill the fuel. *Sigh* Shit happens...

Oh my...where can i get money? T_T
Ya Allah...tolonglah hambamu yang daif ini!

Place Hunting

Phew~!
Mom took 2 days off from work just to settle some stuff and accompanied me to search for reception hall/banquet.

Ann promoted me to one of her friend's wedding package; place located at the new food court/KFC at Demak Jaya area, food pricing per pax was good at RM12.50, including free Pelamin (Wedding Dais), P.A. system, and karaoke.

So we went to see the person-in-charge/owner this morning. He explained that the RM12.50 per pax promotion is over because of the goods' high price and they barely can get profits with that promotion price. So they offered RM14 per pax.
The place itself was kinda empty and dull as the daughter said it's still under renovation process for Ramadhan Buka Puasa restaurant. So i can't say much or visualise how the place look like when it's fully furnished for a wedding reception.
Right now just waiting for Ann to post up some pics for me and mom to see. :)
The owner's daughter will contact me tomorrow (i mean later today xD) to explain more stuff.

Another place that we went to was the Penview Hotel. They have this RM200 per table Malay Wedding promotion including the MC, P.A. system, karaoke, kompang, dummy cake, invitation cards, complimentary room, etc... Quite higher than the first package, but somehow if you add up everything, it's kinda worth it. But then, i need to find people to do my wedding dais. Let say, wedding dais for RM1.5k (no more budget for higher than that.T_T). Other than that, there were some bad issues regarding the banquet services as per told by my friends who attended the functions there every year (i don't know much since i only been there once for David's wedding!), so i told the manager about it. He apologized and agreed that there have been some problems with that since some of the workers are part-timers and amateurs. He said that he will try to overcome the matters. And i jokingly said that i will invite him to my reception so he can watch over the banquet staff. :P Mom too, agree that this place is quite convenient in case my sister Mi~ya gotten tired sitting on the wheelchair, she can go back and rest at the hotel room. And we can prepare clothes and makeup before the event too!

Well, actually either one is okay. As long as it is comfortable, free from the rain, and fit the budget. :)

Gosh...the mosquitoes are killing me... gahhh!!!
i better sleep now! i have tomorrow's plan changing. We're supposed to go to the polyclinic for HIV test, and meeting up Yabuki's wedding dais planner. But me and Yabuki are going to drive to Lingga (near Sri Aman) for Nizam's wedding! XD

KL Mission 01 - point 2

Day 2 - 29th April 2010

Can't really sleep last night as the new environment is new. xD
Woke up very early watching tv and do some budget calculations. lol.
AND i found out that i had forgotten to bring my skincare + makeup. DDDD:
i don't wear makeup much, but at least a moisturiser and an eyeliner should do! :(

But yang paling best was...on this day, kitorang plan pegi IKEA! XD
Called Yabuki to wake him up, then bersiap-siap pegi breakfast.
Uuu...sayangnye...ader free breakfast for 4 people, but guna 2 je. :/
Lepas makan, kitorang pegi ke stesen masjid jamek, and met up with Hanzo there.
Hanzo kerja somewhere near, so dier willing nak pick up.
And super super arigatou to him sebab lend us his car to go to Damansara. ^^

He drove us to his office, and then Yabuki took over the driving. And aku kena jadi co-pilot...siap guna GPS and google earth. Hahaha~~ aku tak reti guna semua tu...jadi arguments pun banyak berlaku dlm perjalanan. :P
Dier cakap aku tak reti bagi direction, yelah...aku maner penah baca map yg gerak2 tu...aku dah cakap aku tak reti...But bila aku dah cakap direction betul, dier belok kat lorong lain plak...jadi i told him, "you're the one who are bad in listening orders!". Lepas tu dier diam sbb dier tau dier salah. Takpe la busyuk! XD
Dalam sejam around 11:00 am something, Alhamdulillah, sampai jugak kat Damansara...boleh nampak 1Utama, Sri Pentas (betul ke Sri Pentas?), Curve, dan Ikea (and Ikano). XD Walaupun pusing2 satu damansara tu sbb tak tau nak masuk kot mana. Hampir termasuk highway lagi...Highway amat mengerikan! x_x
Kuching takde highway, so kitorang tak biasa. LOL.

Oh IKEA~!!! Pujaan hatikuuuu~~~!!
Sangat besar sampai kitorang shopping tak ingat masa...ala..bukan beli banyak pun...but mencari2 barang and nak memilih ikut kegunaan + budget. Nak beli katil and wardrobe kat sana, but takut Cargo tak leh hantar brg panjang2...Punya la lama pilih barang tak sedar dah pukul 2...then pegi makan...Sweedish meatballs~!! Ya adik-adik sekalian...orang yg tamak selalu rugi...
aku beli yang RM15 punya, lepas tu tak boleh habiskan...tak sangka plak sgt banyak! Oohhh...duit & meatballs...aku rasa sangat bersalah! x_x

After that, knowing that our time actually has limits, sbb Hanzo balik kerja at 7pm, and heard the worst condition of traffic jam in KL, so we rushed to find our things.
Banyak jugak yg aku singkirkan out of my list...sebagai contoh, floor lamp...RM69.90. Bila jumpa side table lamp yg plastic tu harga RM9.50, aku dah rambang hati...so ambik je yg murah. Plastik ke besi ke, aku tak kesah, janji budget boleh dikurangkan.
Aku tak jumpa long desk MALM yang aku nak tu (jumpa dalam IKEA punya bedroom planner)...most of the MALM table yg aku jumpa, semua ader drawer...which is very expensive...

The sheep fur pun sangat comel!! Nak sangat beli, but rasa macam tak worth it...RM249...mahal dari almari drawer ANEBODA tu. And oh!!! Aku ambik lilin2 kecik yg bau vanilla tu...From the first time i stepped into IKEA first floor, aku dah terhidu bau comel itu...nasib baik hidungku tajam...dpt cari lilin bau vanilla...lol...ader banyak lagi smell yg lain, but aku suka ituuuuu~~ yabuki and my mom tak suka. D: nasib baik fyka suka...

Dah ambik barang2...bayar, then packed barang2 dalam kotak utk dihantar ke cargo.
Bayar RM65 so that IKEA can send the things to the Cargo's punya company.

Then, sbb process tu sgt lama...hari dah semakin gelap, OH NO! Hujan sangat lebat!!
Sangat rushing nak pegi balik KL. Traffic jam...Guna GPS cari jalan yang tak jam...
Terjumpa la kedai2 perabot yang ala-ala victorian & cleopatra yang Anita Sarawak selalu modelkan tu....Wuuuuu!! Sangat kaya dan bling bling rupanya!! LOL~~

Dah sampai KL, cuba cari office Hanzo...tak jumpa sebab salah jalan...problemnye...battery handphones kitorang dah mati...Laptop pun sama... sgt panic waktu tu! Hanzo contact hp Yabuki yg satu lagi tu, dier cakap takpe...dier pegi dinner with kawan dier, and he can go to our hotel to pick up the car...Then me & yabuki cari lagi jalan nak balik hotel. Sesat lagi...lol...
Then masuk kat KLCC...kahkahkah...funny things happened where sebab kitorang dah panic sangat...even nak ambik tiket masuk parking pun dah tak tau!! Hahahaha!!
Lepas parking, pegi cari tempat untuk charge battery.

Nasib baik ader Starbucks! Aku dah sangat2 tired...tak makan dinner pulak tu...
Lepas tu Hanzo cakap dier ader kat KLCC...kitorang pun simpan balik barang, then pegi cari...aku singgah kejap kat Watsons nak beli eyeliner and moisturiser. After that, cari2 Hanzo, dier cakap dier kena hantar kawan dier balik Sunway sbb diorang tak reti nak keluar from KLCC. LOL.
Then dier mintak tolong ambik dier kat Sunway...

Pusing2 jugak la kitorang sebab jalan sgt jam terutamanya kat Jalan bukit bintang and imbi...
With laptop yg mati jugak akhirnya, and signboards, dpt jugak kitorang sampai kat Sunway at 11:59 pm. Perut yang lapar pun dah aku tak ingat sbb sangat mengantuk.

Then Hanzo hantar kitorang balik hotel...
Akhirnya dpt jugak la aku tido walaupun masih gak terbangun tiba2 sebab masih tak biasa dengan bilik tu.

KL Mission 01 - point 1

Day 1 - 28th April 2010

9:00 am - Arrived at airport.
10:40 am - Flight to KL.
12:40 pm - Arrived at KLIA.
12:50 pm - Taking ERL to KL Sentral.
01:20 pm - Arrived at Sentral. Cari kereta sewa tp takde. Contacted Mea. Fufufu~

Lepas tu tak ingat jam brapa ntah...terus naik LRT pegi Ampang Park. Bawak beg besar.
Then checked in at PNB Darby Park. Serious exclusive tempat ni. Kalau tak kerana MSAM 2010 hari tu, and offer price for only RM300+ for 1 suite (double rooms), memang tak merasa nak duduk sana kot. Unless aku dah kaya esok. Hahaha~~

Kitorang main janken pon, and aku dapat bilik kecik, and yabuki dapat main bedroom. Benci. *Edit: kenapa post saya kena makan! byk benda hilang start from here! kena type balik. grrrr....*
Aku suka bilik aku tu...bukak tingkap boleh tengok bangunan Tabung Haji. Rasa safe pulak bila tengok kalimah Allah kat atas tu. Aku kan penakot...huhuhu... Bilik aku ader shower biasa je...bilik Yabuki ader bathroom. Benci part 2. Takpelah...janji ader air panas. That suite ader kitchen + full utensils, comfy living room, ader 3 washrooms, 3 TV sets plus DVD player + ASTRO, and inside the rooms ader sejadah, seterika, & ironing board. My bed was king size...aku penuhkan dengan bantal-bantal kat ruang katil tu, sebab takmo nampak apa2 makhluk bertenggek kat sebelah aku... =_=
Overall, sangat puas hati! Tapi Yabuki ader complain satu je...pintu dier takleh nak tutup. Hmm..tak kesah...lagipun sapa yg nak kacau dier. Janji aku punya bilik boleh kunci. Muahahahaha! NO ENTRY sebelom kawen. Thank you!

After that, kitorang pegi kat stesen Masjid Jamek. Agak confuse taktau nak pegi guna stesen mana...then we decided guna jalan kat belakang tu and straight pegi Jalan TAR.
Nasib baik aku ingat jalan-jalan tu...Yabuki memang tak tau langsung. Huhu...

Then kitorang masok SSF...
Beli satu barang je...for wall deco. yang lain...biasala...lawa tp takleh nak beli...
too expensive and susah nak bawak balik Kch.
Pastu, jalan lagi...jumpa Cosmic Silk Fashion Gallery. Dulu dah pernah beli kain kat sana...for Yabuki's hantaran.
Terjumpa la sorang budak yg kerja sana part-time boleh cakap Sarawak. Kerol (khairol kot?) namanya. Aku keluarkan la wedding dress aku...semua macam tak caya yg aku beli harga RM500. Sebab diorang cakap design camtu cost ribu-ribu in KL. Oh ye ke? Syoknya...hahaha...

Macam2 kain dier sorong kat aku. Semua aku tak berkenan. Dier suggest buat bolero pendek and tampal lace kat kaki and badan dress. Aku tak mau sbb taknak rosakkan dress asal. Pastu aku tunjuk kain yang ada kat badan mannequin...dier taknak show sebab malas nak bukak...aku cakap takpe, nanti aku bawak dress aku pegi sana. Boleh la cantik...full with beads...but tak suka beadings dier kaler pink. Aku tanya lagi, ader lagi tak yang macam ni? Then dier keluarkan satu lagi design...

SANGAT PERFECT! Lace dier kaler ivory sama cam my dress...actually aku nak lace kaler putih, but susah nak cari...Beadings dier kaler white, and ader sikit je pink sequins. But...panel tu cuma 2 m suku. Tak cukup untuk buat satu jaket outer yang panjang with train. Ader lagi budak tu suruh aku tampal lace kat kaki and buat bolero pendek. Aku reject.

Sebab pertama; Aku nak guna dress tu for photoshoot.
Sebab kedua; Kalau buat long outer jacket for reception, dress tu macam ada 2 design.

Lace panel with beadings tu sangat cantik...tapi harga dier RM390.
Pastu aku tanya ader lagi tak kain lace yang kosong. Mula-mula dier hesitate nak bagi, but aku cakap utk tambah buat bahagian atas jaket. Baru dier show kan.

HAA!! Lace without beadings pun dah sangat cantik ok?? Very english vintage. I LIKE!
Harga...1 panel (2 1/4 m) baru RM150.
Aku dah terkedu. Macam mana ni?? Aku terus call Kak Maa yang bakal jahit baju kawen aku. Aku tanya la brapa jahit + beadings... dier cakap normally RM350 (harga kawan). But ikut budget aku la. Kalau nak yg hebat lagi, letak la harga mahal sikit. Fikir punya fikir...baik aku ambik yang lace kosong. Tak banyak beading pun aku tak kisah...Lagipun lace tu dah cantik.

Bila aku cakap kat Kerol, dier macam terkejut naper aku taknak ambik yg dah siap beadings. Aku cakap mahal. Pastu dier ckp kalau tempat lain buat beading, lagi mahal. Aku cakap aku ader designer boleh buat. Then dier tanya brapa designer aku charge. Aku cakap la paling murah RM350. Dier boleh siap mocking aku lagi...cakap tak mungkin and stuff. Mintak no designer aku lagi... huh... =_= Dahnye harga kawan, mesti la murah.
Aku cakap balik, Sorry dik...memang tak mampu la nak bayar RM390. Baru dier senyap.

Ok, done. Bila nak bayar, after discount untuk 4 metres and 1/2 baru RM280. Ya, aku sangat gembira. Walaupun kain tu bukan putih tapi ivory.
Tapi, budak Kerol tu datang balik...dengan perasaan tak puas hati sbb tak dpt jual kain beading tadi. Pastu dier siap cakap kat kawan dier pompuan saying that aku boleh buat tailoring + full beadings dengan harga RM350 'je'. Then dier cakap, "LEPAS NI AKU CERITA KAT KAU".

HAA! Nak komplen la tu! Aku peduli apa...bukan ko yang bayar...

After that, kitorang terus pegi SOGO cari Hanzo...dier bawak kitorang dinner kat this one Vegetarian Restaurant. The environment was very victorian! XD Macam boleh pakai lolita and photoshoot kat sana...fufufu~~ The food was nice! i ordered Seaweed Baked Cheese rice.
RM15 i think. And thanks to Hanzo for belanja us that day! XD And he also offered us to drive his car on the next day sementara dier pegi keje.

Pastu, pegi picked up Hanzo's girlfriend, Joey at Pudu area.
Then pegi rumah Hanzo and met Izumi, Misaki, and RayRay. ^o^
Before that, Hanzo tanya whether i know Izumi or not, and he said that Izumi knew me.
Memang tak tau terus actually...@_@ i think she salah orang. lol.
Their house memang super cosplay house! Haha! XD Ada cosplay corner, games corner, manga corner, & dogs corner. X3

After that, dalam pukul 2 like that kalau tak silap, Hanzo sent us back to hotel. Izumi and Joey pun ikut sekali. Then me and yabuki invited them to stay over. But diorang ader keje, so maybe hari jumaat they said.

Since hari dah pukul 3 pagi, diorang pun balik...
Aku took late shower sbb rasa macam org minyak dah...=_=
Then pegi tido.

Spent List Day 1
Wall deco - RM49.80
French lace - RM280
Total : RM329.80

Budget oh Budget!

Meetings between my parent and his about our wedding date has been done last week; the reception will take place on the 27th & 28th November, whilst the solemnization probably either on 10th October or 26th November, depending on the availability of the Kadhi.

At some point, even though i dreamt of getting married on 10/10/10, there's a voice inside of me having second thought. Most of it triggered by the scariest topic feared by most of the brides and grooms...BUDGET.

Sure, some of my friends asked me why am i so stressed out? My parents should 'sponsor' my weddings and stuff according to them. Most of the parents have their 'Children's Wedding Funds' kept for the future. But for my case, my parents did not really 100% prepared for this. LOL. As they always think that their daughters won't leave them one day. Sweet but that's not how it goes in reality, ne? ^^;;
i won't really blame them, my family is not rich, too many burdens and have to pay for what's important. Besides, for my youngest sister's medications already take thousands ringgit.

i'm part to blame. i'm still having my studies and not yet steadily working. i can only rely on my part-time job salary which only took like...once or twice in a year?
Tiba-tiba rasa nak postpone to next year. u___u;;;

Okay, now...
Let's see the rough spending list (for only the bride's side)...

--------------------------------
1. Bedroom set including deco - My budget is around RM3500. My preferences: something all white, simple, contemporary or vintage-ish.

2. Mattress - Bought from MIVA (Jalan Elis). RM1799

3. Wedding favours - Got 2 in minds...Type A - pretty (like !@#@$$OMGSONICEEE!!!) & a bit pricey. Type B - Nice & price cheaper a bit (got promotion) than Type A. Both are actually the same thing, but in term of packaging, type A is more alluring. LOL. So, let just say, i take Type B (because of budget-wise), RM960. Not inclusive of postage.

4. Bride's Attire -
A) Nikah - i might be getting 2m nice plain (or lacey) materials. Budget: RM120 (ada ka? o_O;;)
B) Reception - Wedding dress RM500 (hooray for wedding expo!). Jacket/Outer: 4m lace materials, budget around RM250?
i'm not really sure about materials' price. @_@
C) Tailor's fee - Adoi...this one, pretty much would be expensive. Let say RM700.
D) Shoes? Err...this one...if possible i want to wear my Engagement Hantaran shoes, but too bad...i need a taller shoes with wedges/platform cuz i'm too short for my wedding dress. ;_; Price range...below RM100. Can't nego with this cuz i don't wear high heels much.

5. Groom's Wedding band - My budget...below than RM1k. Ala...cincin suasa je. :P
But i do have my own preferences too (banyak songeh betul aku ni)! i want a ring with Onyx stone. :)

--------------------------------
Total: RM8929

YIKES!!!!!!

Tu baru je 6 subjects! Not yet including the invitation cards, upah tok Kadi, catering, canopies, hall rent, pelamin (HAA!! PELAMIN NAK YANG MELETOP! Tapi DUIT TADAK!), make-up, tables & chairs, wedding cake, decorations, and other hidden costs!
*menangis tersedu-sedu* TAT

For sure, i have to find some cheaper (and nice) alternatives, DIY-ing, and tweak a lil bit here and there of my budget. i only have RM8k in hand. Yes, sound impossible...but InsyaAllah (if God's willing), everything will be fine. :)
Aja-aja fighting! XD BRIDEZILLA FAITO!!!!!
